Package: libapache2-mod-axis2c Version: 1.6.0-1 Severity: important The axis2 module doesn't seem to recognize any services unless they are located under $AXIS2C_HOME/services, where $AXIS2C_HOME is the parent of the 'lib' directory that holds all the libraries which ship with the libapache2-mod-axis2c package. As shipped, AXIS2C_HOME=/usr/lib/axis2.
These constraints require that the user must either: a) directly add a 'services' directory under /usr/lib/axis2, and then populate it with the libraries of the services he wishes to offer, or b) make a link from some 'services' directory in user space to /usr/lib/axis2/services. Both approaches run the risk of being overridden or removed when libapache2-mod-axis2c is upgraded. It seems as if some additional configuration directive is needed, where one directive points to the directory containing the libraries that are installed with the libapache2-mod-axis2c package, and other directive (Axis2RepoPath?) points to a locally-defined directory containing the 'services' directory tree and the axis2.xml file. In any case, the package needs a README.Debian telling users which approach is required in order to make the axis2 module work. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libapache2-mod-axis2c depends on: ii apache2.2-common 2.2.16-1 Apache HTTP Server common files ii libaxis2c0 1.6.0-1 Apache web services engine - Runti ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime libapache2-mod-axis2c recommends no packages. libapache2-mod-axis2c suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/apache2/mods-available/axis2c.load changed: LoadModule axis2_module /usr/lib/apache2/modules/libmod_axis2.so -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
