Milko is not exactly right... The DBUS interface is provided by frameworkd, not by fso-gpsd. zhone works just fine without fso-framworkd installed, gets fixes and everything.
What fso-gpsd does is providing a gpsd style interface fed by data gotten from frameworkd via DBUS. Insofar a Conflicts: gpsd would be correct, as only one of them can listen on tcp/2976. The gpsd protocol spoken by fso-gpsd is the old, non-JSON one, while while libgps19/gpsd speak a newer, JSON based protocol. My current problem is that foxtrott-gps depends on libgps19 and gpsd seems not able to peacefully coexist with frameworkd and both reading from the freerunner's GPS chip. cgps shows satellite data with "Used: Y", but "Fix: NONE". I'd like either a combination of fso-gpsd and libgps which cooperate with each other (so that zhone and foxtrott-gps both work) or a gpsd driver using frameworkd's DBUS interface. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
