I think you meant #589103 and not another debian-goodies wishlist bug.

Err, yes, sorry, that was copy&paste error.

As a consequence, debian-goodies is not installable on those architectures. However, lsof is only needed to run checkrestart, the other tools works just fine on kFreeBSD. Therefore, I think it would be fine to demote lsof from Depends to Recommends.

Hmmm. Basically a good idea although I'd prefer a less invasive solution like e.g. just downgrading the dependency on non-linux architectures or so. OTOH I'm not really happy with that solution either...

I am not really happy either, but the current state is clearly suboptimal.
