Yes, the new debhelper rules are nice. :-) But I won't change it for the
(frozen) squeeze release. (But of course for squeeze+1.)

Your report kinda suggests that the package doesn't build. As far as I
can see in the buildd logs, it built on all 14 architectures.

You also mentioned Ubuntu. Maybe it just doesn't build there? Please
write if it fails to build from source in Debian.
