Package: openafs Hi,
I'm trying to build the latest and greatest openafs package (1.3.87-1) in Debian on Ubuntu however it fails when building the the pam modules as it gets multiple definitions of 'AFSVersion' and cml_version_number'. I guess that Debian should have been hit by this too? ../shlibafsrpc/AFS_component_version_number.o:(.data.rel.local+0x0): multiple definition of `AFSVersion' AFS_component_version_number.o:(.data.rel.local+0x0): first defined here ../shlibafsrpc/AFS_component_version_number.o:(.data+0x0): multiple definition of `cml_version_number' AFS_component_version_number.o:(.data+0x0): first defined here collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[4]: *** [pam_afs.so.1] Error 1 make[4]: Leaving directory `/scratch/afs/openafs-1.3.87/src/pam' make[3]: *** [pam] Error 2 make[3]: Leaving directory `/scratch/afs/openafs-1.3.87' make[2]: *** [build] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/scratch/afs/openafs-1.3.87' make[1]: *** [all_nolibafs] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/scratch/afs/openafs-1.3.87' make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2 After removing AFS_component_version_number.o from /scratch/afs/openafs-1.3.87/src/pam/Makefile.in it works. I'm not sure this is the correct fix though? /torkel -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers breezy-updates APT policy: (500, 'breezy-updates'), (500, 'breezy-security'), (500, 'breezy') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-6-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
