I was expecting an announcement before the freeze, but I can see their
point in doing the way they did.

I see.
In the scenario you are prospecting, it will probably make sense to
backport qutecom too.
Thanks for the clarification. I think we are not in the term for
requesting a freeze exception.

I will test the latest qutecom snapshot and upload it to experimental.
