Hi, I was having problems with probably the same issue (getting those errors for many packages while a colleague was experiencing no problems), and we tracked it down to: If you have the GZIP environment variable set in a way that changes the compression algorithm (i.e. "--best" or "--fast"), pristine-gz will only work for tarballs that were compressed with the same setting. If you unset the GZIP environment variable, everything works fine, no matter which algorithm was used to create the tarball. Can't pristine-gz just unset the variable before calling gzip? Cheers, Ralph System: lenny / pristine-tar 0.17 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkxq6ocACgkQ8GkTMKARgCwoQQCgr+cH34BZx1XS07s9RHEEpIUj qKoAoJVImG4vNdwmVA08kUc4wZmHkw5W =js7/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
