Described workaround (4.0b3pre -> 4.0b3 in /usr/share/xul-ext/adblock-plus/install.rdf) seems to work fine here (at least the list subscription page, the properties dialog and of course the ad removal ;). Maybe something broke somewhere, but it's no apparent for the moment. Thanks.
