according to poppler's build log [0], it was last built against
freetype6 2.3.11-1; hence this is the cause of the problem.  we just
uploaded a poppler NMU which will cause it to be built against
freetype6 2.4.  once the new poppler package enters sid, please
retest the problem and update the bug accordingly.
