Do you have an rc.lua file?
Initially I did not. Now I do. It doesn't seem to make much
difference. I do notice that running the recompiled version
prints quite a bit of debug/trace info. The first line is
"D: luakit: luaH_parserc:568: Loading rc file:
/home/ema29/.config/luakit/rc.lua"
anyway.
Does 0~20100806-1 fare any better?
Yes. I'd close it now but the problems seems to have been with the
specific build rather than anything in the old source package.
