Package: qemu-system Version: 0.12.5+dfsg-1 Severity: important qemu 0.12.x isn't working well with with etherboot, at least for me.
it seems to probe the NIC twice, and on the second time, it seems to at least partially work, able to load pxelinux over the network. (this aspect of the problem seems identical to http://bugs.debian.org/585170) but then, after loading pxelinux, it seems to sometimes hang qemu (screen goes black, unable to switch to qemu monitor), and if it doesn't, it takes very long to boot. if it does boot, sometimes the network card stops working, hanging the root filesystem with nfsroot. upstream has switched to gPXE, which has not yet been uploaded to debian, as there are some outstanding licensing issues. http://bugs.debian.org/474034 live well, vagrant -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
