Package: libace-dev Version: 5.7.7-2 Severity: important Justification: silently changes build behaviour of unrelated software
I was just about to build and upload a bugfix version of the diagnostics package and noticed that it wasn't using ACE anymore. The reason is simply that pkg-config didn't know about ACE!? Hence I dug further and noticed that as of r640 in pkg-ace SVN the pkg-config file isn't shipped anymore. There are two issues here: - The Debian changelog doesn't say a word about this change (and no NEWS file either). - What is the correct new strategy to detect ACE in Debian? Thanks a lot, Michael
