The bug is likely in libfreetype6 as that is how fontconfig scans font files. I'm not seeing any trouble scanning this font on my machine. Can you check what version of libfreetype6 you have installed? And, can you check that the sha1sum of b018012l.pfb is: $ sha1sum b018012l.pfb ef8eabc82301ba5461e5c0a5cef137676b64233b b018012l.pfb -keith
