Package: ziproxy Version: 3.1.1-1 Severity: serious Hi maintainer,
Your package fails to build from source on armel with the following error: > arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -g -O2 -MT cfgfile.o -MD -MP > -MF .deps/cfgfile.Tpo -c -o cfgfile.o cfgfile.c > cfgfile.c: In function 'ReadCfgFile': > cfgfile.c:738: internal compiler error: in choose_reload_regs, at > reload1.c:6456 > Please submit a full bug report, > with preprocessed source if appropriate. > See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.4/README.Bugs> for instructions. > make[4]: *** [cfgfile.o] Error 1 > make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 > make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > dh_auto_build: make -j1 returned exit code 2 > make: *** [build] Error 2 > dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2 The error appears like a bug in gcc when activating some optimisations (or maybe '-g', I'm not sure). Ubuntu seems to have workarounded that by disabling the optimisations. You might to check their patch. But, indeed, a real fix would be better but maybe harder to get/work on. The workaround allowws, at least, to build the package and get it in the archive.
