Hi,

I had a look at the two files attached to this bug and I don't see
a problem.

Using the same version of libsndfile as the original bug report:

    ii libsndfile1 1.0.21-2 Library for reading/writing audio

and using sndfile-info from the sndfile-programs package:

    erikd > /usr/bin/sndfile-info test1.flac

    Version : libsndfile-1.0.21

    ========================================
    File : test1.flac
    Length : 2695
    FLAC Stream Metadata
      Channels : 2
      Sample rate : 44100
      Frames : 0
      Bit width : 24
    Vorbis Comment Metadata
    End

    ----------------------------------------
    Sample Rate : 44100
    Frames : 0
    Channels : 2
    Format : 0x00170003
    Sections : 1
    Seekable : TRUE
    Duration : 00:00:00.000
Signal Max : 0 (-inf dB)

    erikd > /usr/bin/sndfile-info test1_s.flac

    Version : libsndfile-1.0.21

    ========================================
    File : test1_s.flac
    Length : 11288
    FLAC Stream Metadata
      Channels : 2
      Sample rate : 44100
      Frames : 741888
      Bit width : 24
    Seektable Metadata
    Vorbis Comment Metadata
    Padding Metadata
    End

    ----------------------------------------
    Sample Rate : 44100
    Frames : 741888
    Channels : 2
    Format : 0x00170003
    Sections : 1
    Seekable : TRUE
    Duration : 00:00:16.823
Signal Max : 0 (-inf dB)

What does sndfile-info say on your system?
