Firebird 2.5 is not yet ported to alpha. Prior to version 3.0 (in alpha stages) Firebird requires a special, unique define for each OS+hardware platform it runs on. Providing that is not hard, but must be synchronized with upstream and I am not sure if they want new ports in their 2.5 line. I'll contact them.
