After recent updates against the repository, the problem is _gone_ on both machines (ATI Mobility M10 using the radeon driver & Intel GM45 using the intel driver, FWIW. The first is using metacity with compositing and the second, compiz).
So, sorry for the trouble, I'll keep an eye on it, but please go ahead and close this bug. And thanks for packaging docky-2. This is a useful addition to the desktop.
