Package: googlecl Version: 0.9.8-1 Severity: normal
I installed googlecl from testing on a lenny system. aptitude rightly observed the package needed a more recent python-support (I used it's second suggestion of the 1.0.3~bpo50+1 one from backports rather than testing). Seemed to install OK, but actually using it I got authentication errors like AttributeError: 'PhotosServiceCL' object has no attribute 'SetOAuthInputParameters' when attempting to upload to picasa (the only thing I tried). However, it's all working just fine after I upgraded from lenny's python-gdata to testing's 2.0.8-1.1 (for what it's worth, I got the idea this might be the issue from hitting on http://code.google.com/p/googlecl/issues/detail?id=145 while trying to figure out the problem) Anyway, it might save other people in a similar situation some headaches if the package declared a versioned dependency on python-gdata. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable'), (200, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages googlecl depends on: ii python 2.5.2-3 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-gdata 2.0.8-1.1 Google Data Python client library ii python-support 1.0.3~bpo50+1 automated rebuilding support for P googlecl recommends no packages. googlecl suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
