After some new tests, I've been able to reproduce this problem by just typing the following test in a test file and feeding it into msort.
fevr...@yakkuru:~$ cat > essai.txt hook point d'ancrage hook point d'accrochage fevr...@yakkuru:~$ cat essai.txt | msort -q -l -d '\t' -n 1 -s fr_FR.UTF-8 -n 2 -s fr_FR.UTF-8 This does happen both from the command line and inside a script.
