An update: "Pictures Folder" now finds the images (as the name would suggest), but other screensavers like glslideshow don't find the Pictures folder I set up with xdg-user-dirs at all, they only show the default dummy image... Very boring, making this screensaver (and also some others which use 'input') useless. (As far as screensavers are useful in the first place, of course ;-) Also, it's very strange still that xdg-user-dirs isn't even installed by default; I think it should be a dependency of gnome-screensaver. Is anyone even reading this??
