Package: apt-file Version: 2.4.0 Severity: wishlist I copied all of /var/cache/apt/apt-file/ from a machine that I just updated, to one that had not been powered up for two weeks.
Nevertheless, apt-file update just acted like I didn't do any of the above, and proceeded to download all over again on the latter machine. The man page should say what needs to be done if one wants to avoid a second download. The sources.lists files are the same on both machines, and I was careful to preserve timestamps. (Note I copied via memory card, only one machine was powered up at a time.) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
