You are supposed to load the net-drivers floppy at the point where you 
said "no to drivers".

That means either a bad disk (which is fairly common with floppies) or a 
real error. Output on VT3 and VT4 may offer information on what goes 
wrong (switch there using alt-F3 alt-F4).
