Package: iceweasel Version: 3.6.4-1 Severity: normal Iceweasel shows only the first frame of some animated GIFs. In cases where the problem occurs, the rest of the frames behave as though they were fully transparent over the whole picture area. The normal cycling behaviour does occur, so that the first frame is again shown after a duration that the rest of the frames would have taken to be shown.
The problem exists in both the testing version (3.5.10-1) and experimental version (3.6.4-1). It is not extension-related - I could reproduce the problem with a clean ~/.mozilla after moving my real ~/.mozilla away. Toggling KDE's compositing features did not affect the situation. The problem is somehow related to Iceweasel itself as Konqueror renders the animated GIFs just fine on the same system. Based on the fact that only some GIFs show this bugginess, I would guess that this is related to Iceweasel's GIF decoder.
