Are you using pmount or fstab-sync along with HAL? If you're using pmount, please see my note about pmount in the bug. pmount uses a different mechanism for determining the iocharset option so this bug doesn't apply to it; instead, see bug 312822.I saw #312818 closed, but i'm not sure the problem is really fixed. Can you try it? It didn't work for me.
