thanks

Sounds as if your have the apt-mirror.lock file still existing in your
var_path directory from a failed attempt to execute. Apt-mirror will not
remove that file as it has no way to tell if it is actually still
running or not, that's for an operator to determine and clean up after a
failure. Also as var_path is configuration dependent there is no easy
way for the package management to remove it when you remove the package.

Look in your configuration file and determine where var_path is set to
and remove the apt-mirror.lock file in that path and apt-mirror should
execute. However, note that if the same issue that caused apt-mirror to
fail to execute and properly clean up it's lock file occurs again you
will have the same issue.
