Package: pdftk Version: 1.41+dfsg-8 Severity: normal pdftk in lenny (pdftk-1.41-3) used to be able to extract FDF out of the 1040 tax form (2009), e.g. via the following commands:
wget http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf pdftk f1040.pdf generate_fdf output foo.fdf However, pdftk-1.41+dfsg-8 in squeeze does not work anymore, and it produces a fdf file with no fields.
