Savelog has an option -j to use bzip2, I would like to request an option to use xz as the compression tool. Personally I think people will transition from bzip2 to xz, so it would be nice to be ready for it. Gnu tar is using -J for xz compression, so I suggest doing the same. -Ariel -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages debianutils depends on: ii libc6 2.11.1-3 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii sensible-utils 0.0.4 Utilities for sensible alternative debianutils recommends no packages. debianutils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
