I have to admit I feel bad about chosing for you the intended behavior in that case. Since you ask “I don't care, do as you want”, I guess we could add a check on noninteractive mode and proceed with evolution running (I really don't think a preinst script should be allowed to kill an user process). I don't really like noninteractive as a way to allow users to shoot themselves in the foot, but maybe that's just me.
