The kernel package does *not* modify /etc/yaboot.conf like this. (linux-base will modify it one-time only.) This is a bug in the yabootconfig script which is part of yaboot. yaboot maintainers, you need to make yabootconfig accept UUID and LABEL specfications in /etc/fstab and in the kernel root parameter.
