Hello! Some people seem to hit this bug, some don't. For those who hit it, it's more or less frequent, that's why simply retrying the key combo they configured is a "workaround".
I see a different in probability to hit the bug on keypress depending on the specific key combo. The combination Mod-Shift-L did only very rarely work for me (thenth of presses needed). The combination Mod-Pause and Mod-Shift-Pause work every time so far. So this is my workaround, simply use the so far always working key combination in Xmonad.
