Package: ibus Version: 1.3.5-1 Severity: normal With ibus running but turned off (i.e. using the en_US input method within ibus), I cannot type a character in gnome-do except hotkeys like ESC and Super+Space. When I pressed a key, gnome-do printed this message to stderr:
(Do:4863): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed Currently there is a work around: launch gnome-do by $ env GTK_IM_MODULE=xim gnome-do I fire this bug against ibus instead of gnome-do because the same problem was observed in gnome-shell (2.31.2-1) in experimental. However gnome-shell (2.29.0-3) in sid works quite well. Please kindly inform me if it is nothing wrong with ibus. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.34-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ibus depends on: ii gconf2 2.28.1-3 GNOME configuration database syste ii libc6 2.11.2-1 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgconf2-4 2.28.1-3 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libibus2 1.3.5-1 New input method framework using d ii librsvg2-common 2.26.3-1 SAX-based renderer library for SVG ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii python 2.6.5-5 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-glade2 2.17.0-2 GTK+ bindings: Glade support ii python-ibus 1.3.5-1 New input method framework using d ii python-notify 0.1.1-2+b2 Python bindings for libnotify ii python-support 1.0.8 automated rebuilding support for P ii python-xdg 0.19-1 Python library to access freedeskt Versions of packages ibus recommends: ii ibus-gtk 1.3.5-1 New input method framework using d ii ibus-qt4 1.3.0-1 qt-immodule for ibus (QT4) ii im-switch 1.20 Input method switch framework ibus suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
