Opening a local Docbook document whose file name ends with ".xml" and that is not in a standard location seems to fail. I provide below a minimal example docbook file to test with. I saved it as /var/tmp/test.xml and tried to open it. This document seems valid. It has been checked with the `xmllint --noout --xinclude --noent - --postvalid test.xml` command. On Ubuntu Lucid, it works with both `yelp file:///var/tmp/test.xml` and `yelp file:///var/tmp/test.xml` commands. On Debian unstable (as of 2010-06-15), it fails with both commands. It used to work about a week ago. Sometimes I see that yelp tries to open the document with Abiword, but the latter fails to parse it. Here is the example document: - --------------------------------------------------------- <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE book PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.1.2//EN" "http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.5/docbookx.dtd" > <book lang="en"> <bookinfo> <title>Test</title> <copyright> <year>2010</year> <holder>Alexandre Quessy</holder> </copyright> <publisher> <publishername>Alexandre Quessy</publishername> </publisher> <authorgroup> <author> <firstname>Alexandre</firstname> <surname>Quessy</surname> <affiliation> <orgname>Society for Arts and Technology</orgname> <address><email>scenic-us...@sat.qc.ca</email> </address> </affiliation> </author> </authorgroup> </bookinfo> <chapter id="hello"> <title>Hello</title> <para>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.</para> </chapter> </book> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJMF4oLAAoJEJQ0pOgl2qx1o0kQAJNIg3o2IkSYa64s8/FYJDHl BiRGnBM7rhHsI0UgW0h84AZDjH6MZFZ7DXErX4ZtgeipPQyTvLSc2/j/sHBEjgcE 7BA6jL9ZUqj30RdXWSRDDgl5ecF+fz+DJ9/yQfv0ZPFlBG+eXEMK97IrOhk2Jt/T zeuvyjVnhmVu9y6m4L7l+v02aSZbz9NLX37lebPJFLmv0dF1eLZl/WcmQ0hpYIA1 9FQa+kMGJz5mUTu1x7nTPwOA83OA6/URDnZ94atCvPjPqkkVZqjypo6hdbh4iCg6 09CKm3aJ/x/IL9Iib5XCuODoOxnLyrj73JMt2b8/0jGXNep7BdXfk2yvkdGy+tIm 0E5jrICWXKPhiWO1qiiwp1dzew1OJHpFVALzo/JqwIMZIpcLncb4QV24C//ztdEj kVpqOhM3kYluTuOshNXuFFmA6YKuDx5O6bgtRAodRAeXrjsxpapYcXY5+9cnwtfz S0X3T31I7pP9KtcX+f5saR7mAKsFG2Tp9Nn46/hnleBoHFU+o/6j7RbFaW177WlV 0jwhZL2Zzl6CtsIOBMv60u7qPWkF+KP2JYEn8uO0a8n1RgNQJeZb0+WkGZMepYGJ MOBnqQvc8wYuHZpDAvExMHawWW4hYG+foMvVS0fa/p+/Mh/bJTGGrApxz3z/YJ90 U86j1PGDC1Qce55RNb7g =90dz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
