Since this bug is moderately popular, and someone just filed a duplicate of it, I thought it appropriate to provide an update for all the interested parties.
Basically, upstream has implemented functionality that will make this possible in 4.2.0, which is still in beta. Once it comes out of beta, I will update the Debian 4.1.x package, and then we can call this bug done. See http://www.isc.org/files/release-notes/dhcp4.2.0b2RelNotes.txt for more details
