Package: procps Version: 1:3.2.7-11 Severity: normal File: /usr/bin/w.procps
In adition to all ther other /usr/bin/w output formatting bugs, here's another. If w's output is not a tty eg: w | cat The output is now truncated at 80 characters. The old behavior was to not truncate. There seems to be no way to turn this off or force the width to some other size. now I can't use w in my script anymore. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-openvz-686 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_NZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_NZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages procps depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18lenny2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.7+20081213-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip Versions of packages procps recommends: ii psmisc 22.6-1 Utilities that use the proc filesy procps suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
