See here (a lot of peoples with this problem): <https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/631368> man polipo says: "...make sure that Polipo is running, and point your favourite web browser at http://localhost:8123 ..." But, when you enable tor (CTRL+2) the proxy setting forward the proxy to port 8118. When you go to /etc/polipo/config to try change the default port, you can't find this option! This is a bug, because when you enable torbutton it set the port to 8118 instead 8123. Regards, Renato S.
