Package: logrotate Version: 3.7.1-5 Severity: normal My root partition containing /var/log is often nearly saturated, so I tried to move old rotated logs to another bigger partition using olddir parameter. But I get an error : error: syslog-ng:61 olddir /home/mail and log file /var/log/mail.log are on different devices
As the only way to free some space on a nearly full device, is to move some datas on another device, logrotate should allow to put old logs on another partition.
