Package: udev
Version: 154-1
Severity: normal

Hi, same problem here

112 processes of udev

100% CPU consumption by one process

strace shows repeating:

poll([{fd=4, events=POLLIN}, {fd=5, events=POLLIN}, {fd=6, events=POLLIN},
{fd=7, events=POLLIN}, {fd=8, events=POLLIN}], 5, 3000) = 1 ([{fd=6,
revents=POLLIN}])
ioctl(6, FIONREAD, [0])                 = 0

Custom kernel

uname -a:
Linux sredniczarny 2.6.34-sredniczarny-07097-gf4b87de #15 PREEMPT Mon May 24
03:03:05 CEST 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

/etc/init.d/udev restart doesn't help.

/etc/init.d/udev stop properly shutdowns udev and CPU is idle then.

Regards.
