Sorry for a third thought on your reply to this bug report.If the default pathnews is /usr/lib/news (which seems to be the case), surely it can't be the intent of this that /usr/lib/news/.gnupg gets created by the various gpg-related scripts that are run as user news (gpgverify, buildinnkeyring) ?
