Hi, according to packages.debian.org, libnet-ldap-perl installs its module files into /usr/share/perl5/Net/.
This the files /usr/lib/perl5/Net/LDAP.pm is probably some left over cruft from a manual installation of a really ancient version of perl-ldap. This can be said quite surely since Debian's LDAP.pm does not contain the code indicated. According to the SVN repository this workaround for old IO::Socket::SSL versins has been removed frpm perl-ldap before version 0.27 more than 3 years ago. Please be so kind to close this bug report as it is no bug in libnet-ldap-perl.
