Package: ddclient Version: 3.8.0 The afraid.org service require a special protocol named freedns. By not it is not already implemented in the Debian repositoty version. Anyway there is a path for version 3.8.0 at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2832129&group_id=116817&atid=676131 that already implement it. I tried the version of the patch called "better_freedns.patch" and till now it is working fine with me having no problem at all.
