One part of it is bad, undoing newer better code, but let's disregard that
for a bit...

Yes. git history indicates that the current mod_auth_radius-2.0.c, created
by Alan DeKok in 2002, based on patch from Harrie Hazewinkel, was versioned
1.5.2, with the missing versions (since 1.3) explained as:

        Also integrated code from http://www.wede.de/sw/mod_auth_radius/
        which had forked form this one after v1.3.3.

These show up in your copy as:
