Just for others that have the same problem: This problem appeared again when installing a new kernel. After some searching, i found it was /boot/grub/device.map that was causing this trouble. I renamed (then removed) that file and reinstalled the kernel. Now everything is fine. /boot/grub/device.map was made in the time grub couldn't boot a md-partition ... a long time ago ;) -- Groeten Lieven Baes aka yanu http://www.ubuntu-be.org/ http://nl.openoffice.org/ http://www.ginsys.be/odf_bestanden_openen_met_microsoft_office -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
