Oops, my prior email was sent to the wrong bug nr.

Anyway, ramune, I can't find anything on Debian-legal about the
license of Cyberbit. And then there's the discussion (or there was at
least) about whether fonts could be described as a "program" or not.
Perhaps you should direct your question to the Debian Legal list too.

But cjk-latex doesn't include any parts of the actual fonts; the
scripts only refer to the font, and you can always use other fonts,
using Cyberbit's font definitions as a template for your .fd files.

You can still download the font from Netscape, if you agree with the
following license (which seems indeed non-DFSG compliant):
http://ftp.netscape.com/pub/communicator/extras/fonts/windows/License.wri

I could always add a latex-cjk-utf8 subpackage and put it in contrib.
You can see that I have already created several subpackages if you add
these lines to your APT sources.list:

  deb http://chinese.alioth.debian.org latex-cjk/
  deb-src http://chinese.alioth.debian.org latex-cjk/

BTW, is there another Unicode (>2.0) font that is DFSG compliant and
covers about as much as Bitstream's Cyberbit font?
