package apt open-vm-tools reassign 582941 open-vm-tools retitle 582941 boot order loop between open-vm-tools and mountnfs thanks
Hi Martin Lüchem, thanks for your report - but this is not an APT bug, it is a problem in the boot order as insserv complains: 2010/5/24 Martin L ü c h e m <heinric...@gmx.de>: > update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated) > insserv: There is a loop between service open-vm-tools and mountnfs if started > insserv: loop involving service mountnfs at depth 7 > insserv: loop involving service networking at depth 6 > insserv: loop involving service fuse at depth 9 > insserv: There is a loop between service umountnfs and open-vm-tools if > stopped > insserv: loop involving service open-vm-tools at depth 4 > insserv: loop involving service networking at depth 3 > insserv: There is a loop between service umountnfs and open-vm-tools if > stopped > insserv: loop involving service umountnfs at depth 2 > insserv: loop involving service avahi at depth 1 > insserv: loop involving service umountfs at depth 6 > insserv: loop involving service rsyslog at depth 2 > insserv: loop involving service ifupdown at depth 6 > insserv: loop involving service sendsigs at depth 8 > insserv: exiting now without changing boot order! I guess this problem is already reported and fixed in #577163 but as i don't know much about the problem i will let the Maintainer(s) decide if it is really this issue. You should at least follow up with the installed version of open-vm-tools for a start, e.g. with: $ dpkg -l insserv open-vm-tools Best regards, David Kalnischkies -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
