Could this be related to #582817 ?
Are you using some /etc/dhclient.conf? If yes, wicd (from 1.7) overwrites it
with a custom template file. Could you try
editing /etc/wicd/dhclient.conf.template ?

Also, if the above doesn't work, would you please post /var/log/wicd/wicd.log ,
after enabling debugging mode?
