Package: libsdl1.2debian Version: 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3 Severity: important
Hello, My favourite application using libSDL is unable to display correctly IYUV overlays. The colors are wrong and the shapes very approximative, sometimes it displays unidentified things. The problem is known, it occurs when compiling libSDL with nasm support. Please see: http://www.devolution.com/pipermail/sdl/2005-April/068463.html Despite I do not use fbdev; I have the problem. I've verified that when compiling my own libsdl with --disable-nasm, the yuv blitting works perfectly. You can reproduce the problem with SDL's own test programs (the one in the test subdir) ../testoverlay2 -format IYUV Not using nasm seems only to decrease performance when using software blitting (hardware blitting is unaffected). I think it is acceptable to recompile a SDL without nasm waiting for this bug to be fixed by authors. It would make some SDL based application to work.
