reassign 582692 dict thanks
Coin, Quoting Sergey Poznyakoff <g...@gnu.org.ua>:
To begin with, please, send bug reports to the address <bug-d...@gnu.org.ua>!
No, you're wrong, this is the right place to send a bug, so that the maintainer can check if it relevant, already solved in a new release not yet packaged, or solved in the upstream VCS, or a bug triggered by a Debian-specific patch, before sending it to the authors.
GNU Dico contains no program called "dict". Moreover, none of its sources contain a symbol "client_read_status". Are you sure this report is about GNU Dico???
According to the description: GNU Dico is a flexible modular implementation of DICT server (RFC 2229). i may then query the dico server with *any* DICT compliant client. But you're right, i should have tested this problem with the dico client instead. That's another good reason to filter reports before sending them to the author directly. I'm then reassigning this bug to the dict package, as it is not reproducible with the dico client ("dico --host=dico.duckcorp.org --noauth -m kuruma" works).
Btw, i found another problem while testing with the dico command, but that's another issue. You can have a look at the complete list of reports for dico here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?ordering=normal;archive=0;src=dico;dist=unstable;repeatmerged=0
or wait for the Debian maintainer to forward you the relevant bugs. Regards. -- Marc Dequènes (Duck)
