Package: qemu-kvm Version: 0.12.4+dfsg-1 Severity: important We originally noticed this problem on Ubuntu Lucid (lp:579596) but it appears to also effects the current version of qemu-kvm (which we have backported to lenny). Upon booting a VM and PXELinux loading keyboard input is no longer accepted (so one cannot select the target).
If one connects to the serial console at this point, and then either inputs an invalid target or boots a valid target the VNC console begins to accept keystrokes again. We are using the following version of libvirt ii libvirt-bin 0.8.1-1 ii libvirt0 0.8.1-1 the XML for this domains is as follows: <domain type='kvm'> <name>foo</name> <uuid>b3ae7b86-d390-e563-bba9-4a1cd9966480</uuid> <memory>1048576</memory> <currentMemory>1048576</currentMemory> <vcpu>1</vcpu> <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-0.12'>hvm</type> <boot dev='network'/> </os> <features> <acpi/> </features> <clock offset='utc'/> <on_poweroff>destroy</on_poweroff> <on_reboot>restart</on_reboot> <on_crash>restart</on_crash> <devices> <emulator>/usr/bin/kvm</emulator> <disk type='file' device='disk'> <source file='/var/lib/libvirt/images/foo.raw'/> <target dev='hda' bus='ide'/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' unit='0'/> </disk> <controller type='ide' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x01' function='0x1'/> </controller> <interface type='bridge'> <mac address='02:00:00:60:a7:70'/> <source bridge='br0'/> <target dev='vnet22'/> <model type='e1000'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x04' function='0x0'/> </interface> <serial type='pty'> <target port='0'/> </serial> <console type='pty'> <target port='0'/> </console> <input type='mouse' bus='ps2'/> <graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' listen='0.0.0.0'/> <video> <model type='cirrus' vram='9216' heads='1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x02' function='0x0'/> </video> </devices> </domain> Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages qemu-kvm depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii bridge-utils 1.4-5 Utilities for configuring the Linu ii iproute 20080725-2 networking and traffic control too ii libasound2 1.0.16-2 ALSA library ii libbluetooth2 3.36-1 Library to use the BlueZ Linux Blu ii libbrlapi0.5 3.10~r3724-1+lenny1 braille display access via BRLTTY ii libc6 2.7-18lenny2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.18.2-8lenny4 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libgnutls26 2.4.2-6+lenny2 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libncurses5 5.7+20081213-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpci3 1:3.0.0-6 Linux PCI Utilities (shared librar ii libpulse0 0.9.10-3+lenny2+b1 PulseAudio client libraries ii libsasl2-2 2.1.22.dfsg1-23+lenny1 Cyrus SASL - authentication abstra ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.13-2 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libuuid1 1.41.3-1 universally unique id library ii libvdeplug2 2.2.2-3 Virtual Distributed Ethernet - Plu ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii python 2.5.2-3 An interactive high-level object-o ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages qemu-kvm recommends: ii linux-image-2. 2.6.26-21lenny4 Linux 2.6.26 image on AMD64 ii linux-image-2. 2.6.32-22.33 Linux kernel image for version 2.6 ii linux-image-2. 2.6.32-9 Linux 2.6.32 for 64-bit PCs Versions of packages qemu-kvm suggests: ii debootstrap 1.0.10lenny1 Bootstrap a basic Debian system pn samba <none> (no description available) ii vde2 2.2.2-3 Virtual Distributed Ethernet -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
