Package: mell Version: 1.0.0-7 Severity: normal File: /etc/emacs/site-start.d/55mell.el
/usr/share/doc/emacsen-common/debian-emacs-policy.gz section 9 asks lisp add-ons to use debian-pkg-add-load-path-item rather than directly modifying load-path the way 55mell.el does. I believe debian-pkg-add-load-path-item is available as of "sarge" emacsen-common 1.4.14 of June 2002. Its effect is to keep /usr/local ahead of packaged lisp dirs so local stuff has precedence. Incidentally `flavor' probably should be `debian-emacs-flavor'. The former is only a local binding in `debian-startup'. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-486 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mell depends on: ii apel 10.7+0.20080906-2 portable library for emacsen ii emacs21 [emacsen] 21.4a+1-5.7 The GNU Emacs editor ii emacs22-gtk [emacsen] 22.3+1-1.2 The GNU Emacs editor (with GTK use ii emacs23 [emacsen] 23.1+1-4 The GNU Emacs editor (with GTK+ us ii xemacs21-mule [emacsen 21.4.22-2 highly customizable text editor -- mell recommends no packages. mell suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
