When playing a video there is no visual unless some part of the display area is overlapped by another GUI object, such as a menu from the menu bar or another window. The visual will also flash for a nano-second when the Banshee window is moved or re-sized. Otherwise, the video play normally and clearly. Audio is unaffected. I tried this in mp4's, wmv' & avi's that I regularly play with other tools -- Regards, Freeman -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (899, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (300, 'unstable'), (90, 'experimental'), (70, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages banshee depends on: ii gnome-icon-theme 2.30.2.1-1 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gstreamer0.10-alsa [gs 0.10.29-1 GStreamer plugin for ALSA ii gstreamer0.10-plugins- 0.10.17-1 GStreamer plugins from the "bad" s ii gstreamer0.10-plugins- 0.10.29-1 GStreamer plugins from the "base" ii gstreamer0.10-plugins- 0.10.22-1 GStreamer plugins from the "good" ii gstreamer0.10-pulseaud 0.10.22-1 GStreamer plugin for PulseAudio ii gstreamer0.10-sdl [gst 0.10.18-2+b1 GStreamer plugin for SDL output ii hal 0.5.14-2 Hardware Abstraction Layer ii libboo2.0.9-cil 0.9.2.3383+dfsg-1 python-like language and compiler ii libc6 2.10.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.8.8-2 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libgconf2.0-cil 2.24.1-6 CLI binding for GConf 2.24 ii libgdata1.4-cil 1.4.0.2-3 Google GData CLI client library ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.0-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libglib2.0-cil 2.12.9-3 CLI binding for the GLib utility l ii libgstreamer-plugins-b 0.10.29-1 GStreamer libraries from the "base ii libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.29-1 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtk2.0-cil 2.12.9-3 CLI binding for the GTK+ toolkit 2 ii libmono-addins-gui0.2- 0.4-6 GTK# frontend library for Mono.Add ii libmono-addins0.2-cil 0.4-6 addin framework for extensible CLI ii libmono-cairo2.0-cil 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono Cairo library (for CLI 2.0) ii libmono-corlib2.0-cil 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono core library (for CLI 2.0) ii libmono-posix2.0-cil 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono.Posix library (for CLI 2.0) ii libmono-sharpzip2.84-c 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono SharpZipLib library (for CLI ii libmono-system-data2.0 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono System.Data Library (for CLI ii libmono-system2.0-cil 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono System libraries (for CLI 2.0 ii libmono-zeroconf1.0-ci 0.9.0-2 CLI library for multicast DNS serv ii libmtp8 1.0.2-3 Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) libr ii libndesk-dbus-glib1.0- 0.4.1-3 CLI implementation of D-Bus (GLib ii libndesk-dbus1.0-cil 0.6.0-4 CLI implementation of D-Bus ii libnotify0.4-cil 0.4.0~r3032-2 CLI library for desktop notificati ii libpango1.0-0 1.26.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsqlite3-0 3.6.23.1-2 SQLite 3 shared library ii libtaglib2.0-cil 2.0.3.7+dfsg-1 CLI library for accessing audio an ii libwebkit1.1-cil 0.3-2 CLI binding for the WebKit library ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxrandr2 2:1.3.0-3 X11 RandR extension library ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.1.0-2 X11 XFree86 video mode extension l ii mono-runtime 2.4.4~svn151842-2 Mono runtime Versions of packages banshee recommends: ii avahi-daemon 0.6.25-3 Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD daemon ii brasero 2.30.1-1 CD/DVD burning application for GNO ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.17-1 GStreamer plugins from the "bad" s pn podsleuth <none> (no description available) Versions of packages banshee suggests: ii banshee-dbg 1.7.0-1 Media Management and Playback appl ii gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.10-1 FFmpeg plugin for GStreamer ii gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly 0.10.14-1 GStreamer plugins from the "ugly" -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
